Specifications of new engines Maserati Quattroporte
After the pictures of last week, we now get technical and motorical data of the new Maserati Quattroporte 2013. The two most important power sources will be a V6 and V8 with double turbo. The engines are entirely made out of aluminum and are equipped with a direct injection. The 3.0l V6 produces 410 bhp and is available with rear-wheel drive as well as four-wheel drive. The Quattroporte V6 with RWD will get to 100km/h (62mph) in 5 seconds and has a top speed of 285 km/h (177 mph). The QP V6 with AWD does near as makes no difference the same (4,9 sec. / 284 km/h).
The V8 is a very nice 3.8 liter engine producing 530 bhp. With this V8 version, you’ll be driving 100 km/h after 4,7 seconds and if you keep on pushing the accelerator, you’ll be doing a lovely 307 km/h (191 mph) a little while later. Both the V6 as the V8 are provided with an 8-gear automatic by ZF. A possible diesel was not mentioned in these first specifications.
