Production start Alfa Romeo Giulia on March 14th

The series production of the Alfa Romeo Giulia starts in Cassino on March 14th. This is official news as Marchionne announced so himself during a staff meeting at the plant in the province of Frosinone. Production start in March was the target anyway, but it is said that FCA had originally scheduled to start two weeks later. Given the fact that postponement (little as it may be) by Alfa Romeo is always given a lot of attention on the internet, hopefully this will get every bit as much publicity.

The delays in recent months were admitted by FCA, but the Italian manufacturer also claims that people need to understand this given the enormous task at hand. Insiders meanwhile claim that these delays were partly due to the time-consuming process of making good arrangements with suppliers. Starting February 23th some 30 cars a day shall be produced as a test.
