Italian Motorvalley wants theme park with race brands
The region of Emilia Romagna has come up with an idea to put the world famous bike and car brands from this region even more into the picture; by means of a theme park. Motorvalley would then no longer merely be the pseudonym for this area where Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and Ducatis are built, but would also be the name of an amusement park where the entire family (but especially fathers and sons we suspect) can spend their weekends.
Previous initiatives such as the museum about Enzo Ferrari, the Ferrari-museum and the new Motor Gallery-event in Modena have already proven to be successful as the Italian racing industry is loved by the entire world. On top of that, it is important to the country as well, as this idea was suggested by the ANCE (Associazione nazionale costruttori edili), the national association of construction companies. Motorvalley Emiliano-Romagnolo is inspired on Ferrari’s theme park in Abu Dhabi which opened its doors three years ago.
This park is supposed to rise up in Imola right next to the highway and have a direct connection with the famous circuit park Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (picture above). The actual realization of this project would cause quite a bit of extra employment in the tourism and automotive sector. The opinions of the village Imola and Formula Imola (organization of the Autodromo) are not yet known, but the project has been figured out completely already. The people who came up with this idea were inspired by other European examples such as Le Mans and the Nürburgring. They say it is an investment for the future which will repay itself on the long term.
