Happy Holidays by AutoEdizione!
It’s been a tough year for us and our readers. The year anno domini 2013 will be remembered as one where the Italian car market reached an all-time low, especially for Fiat SpA. Practically no news (especially since last summer up to now) makes the dealerships desperate, much like it does the enthusiasts and those who write about it like us at AutoEdizione. Still, we’d like to end the year on a positive note. We’ve been reporting about every small hint over the past few months (and years), and believe that better times lay ahead. The parent group from Turin which was once so huge and successful is working on a long-term-plan and has most probably dodged the final demise. This bridging phase they are now going through takes place in a major crisis and that of course means things are tough, but the global results are quite okay and offer hope.
Our most beloved brands are all owned by this one company, which is why we’d like to raise our glasses to Fiat SpA. A toast to the transformation Maserati is now going through. Let it be an omen for what’s coming for Alfa Romeo, Lancia and other future endeavors of Fiat. So that we at AutoEdizione can keep doing what we’ve been doing with all our heart for many years already. Salute e Buon Natale!
