Fiat 500e sold out until end of 2013
Though Fiat say they don’t think electric cars are profitable, their first attempt at it is pretty successful. All 500e’s are sold out for 2013, meaning every Californian needs to wait until 2014 if he orders one, is what Fiat North America-chief Jason Stoicevich reports. Like it’s some kind of hand-built Ferrari. The small electric Italian, on sale as of last month, is a true winner then. The excellent price/quality relationship will certainly be one of the reasons, but also the fact that the 500e is the first really good-looking (and affordable) electric car will have its benefits.
The Fiat 500e is on show in 28 dealerships throughout the ‘Golden State’. The brand now has more than 200 points of sales in the US, where the regular 500 is doing very well as well and is the most popular car in its segment at this moment. The 500e is produced in Mexican Toluca.
