Abarth is looking for new racing drivers via media

21 March 2012 21:05 No comments

From March until early April, Abarth is busy looking for new racing talent for the ultimate “Make It Your Race 2012” in Italy. This challenging event and the creative media combination is a new way of Abarth by actively searching for fresh talent to race in its own competition. People aged between 18 and 40 years have the chance to compete against each other in Italy and battle for the ultimate price: racing in Abarth’s own ‘Trofeo’ grand prix’ with the new 500 Assetto Corse. The winner will race for the first time during the ‘Racing Days’. This annual event on the ‘Franciacorta’ race track near Brescia covers two days of pure Abarth madness with lots of ‘abarthisti’ on and next to the track (22-24 June).¬†During the next few days a couple of promotional video’s will be shown on Italian television, although that won’t be necessary…

Applications for the Abarth challenge on www.makeityourrace.it already have exceeded 15,000 of which a third is from outside Italy. Participating countries are Italy, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, and Belgium. The competition is divided in three parts, each covering individual and group challenges or activities. Ultimately, only 6 will be able to drive the Assetto Corse around the track together with professional drivers. Apart from a contract with the company, the winner will get another little present: a street legal Abarth 500.
