Touring Superleggera Disco Volante with new look
With chic green paintwork and golden accents, the Disco Volante of Touring Superleggera again heads to Geneva this year. The creation from Milan based on the Alfa Romeo 8C keeps on drawing a lot of attention to itself and doesn’t need more than this special color combination to be in the spotlights. The interior has been reworked as well with two shades of brown, while the bright red accents in the Alfa ‘Scudetto’ and exhausts are also striking.
The price winner of the Concorso d’Eleganza di Villa d’Este was designed by Touring’s design chief Louis de Fabribeckers. At the Swiss motor show this piece of art will be standing next to the original Alfa Romeo Disco Volante C52 Coupé from 1952, with the approval of the museum at Arese. A gorgeous duo, then, that will present the brand Alfa Romeo to the public in a more alternative way. Whether Touring is already working on a new creation is not known. The coachbuilder has let to know that an open version (based on the 8C Spider) is not in the making.
