Maserati rear SCOOP: The rear of new Maserati QuattroporteThis is an official drawing of the rear of the new Maserati Quattroporte MY2013. Shortly the new large Maserati will make its debut on an evolution of the LY platform. This drawing should enthusiast the fans already. This registered drawing shows a very classy rear end of the car. This design approach will also be implemented at the upcoming E-segment model, which will make its debut 6 months later. Both cars will be build at the production facility in Turin. They will mark the first real attempt in years to be successful in the high-end segment for the Italian car maker. The technical solution for both cars will be very similar, just as the way they will be powered. The major difference between the two cars (besides their size) will be the sloping rear window of the F-segment high-end saloon. Something you cannot see on this drawing.

The new Quattroporte will have a shortly designed rear-end, while the ‘Maseratina’ will have the proportions of a normal saloon. Because of the view of the drawing, you cannot see the wavy design of the side of the car. This design is in combination with the general Birdcage-design, a design Maserati introduced with the GranTurismo. It’s remarkable that the design on the drawing shows a lot of resemblance to this prestigious coupe. Maserati aims to enlarge their target group, mainly American, Chinese and German customers, who opt for the higher segment. We think that this luxurious saloon made in Italy, will have the potential to make a difference in comparison to the clinical approach of the cars from Ingolstadt or Munich.
