SCOOP: Maserati Ghibli ready for debut

21 March 2013 20:21 No comments

According to the well-informed source Quattroruote, the Maserati-factory in Grugliasco (Turin) is about to start the assembly of the Maserati Ghibli. The last testing phase of this well-proportioned E-segment car with seemingly slender lines is ongoing, as is clearly noticeable in these pictures. It won’t be too long, then, before we’ll be seeing ‘naked’ specimens driving on public roads.

As earlier reported, the debut might very well take place at the Auto Show in Shanghai next month, though the brand with the trident has not confirmed nor denied this rumor yet. China will be the most important market for this Audi- and Mercedes-killer, so a surprise is certainly not unimaginable. The Ghibli would then be standing alongside the equally new Quattroporte, which would of course be a lovely stand to admire and a perfect portrayal of Maserati’s new found ambitions.
