November 2012: Fiat again very successful in America
While Europe is still a problematic market for the Fiat-group, we see the brand growing immensely in Northern- and Southern-America. The results keep on improving every month overseas, and this is also the case for the American brands. The entire group sold 122.565 cars in November, +14% compared to last year. It is the best month since November 2007 for Chrysler LLC.
Fiat reports +123%. The closed 500 did 143% better and the open 500C grew by 41%. The other brands, too, had positive results, except for Jeep (-3%). The new Dodge Dart, based on the Giulietta, is starting to do well and was sold over 4.500 times in November.
In Brazil, too, where Fiat is still market leader, everything is going well. Fiat sold (including vans and trucks) 71.332 cars on this market in November. The total market share is now 24%, a new record. As of January, Fiat has sold 763.754 cars in Brazil. An increase of 11,5% compared to last year.
