As we mentioned earlier on this site, Fiat will introduce the 500T in the US. This car is identical to the European Abart 500 (135 hp). The 500 will wear the Fiat badge in the US, so the whole range can be widened. The Abarth badge is available for the most powerful and exclusive versions in America. The 500T is equipped with the robotised transmission C510. Some additional information arrived today, a possibility that a newly developed sequential automatic gearbox comes available. This 6-speed transmission would have some more comfortable characteristics and Fiat could deploy the gearbox for the 500 range during 2013. For the moment Alfa Romeo is experimenting with the TCT in the B-segment with the MiTo. A combination which doesn’t have much buyers attention in Europe.
