Extreme, futuristic, raw, it is everything Bertone wants to express with their Nuccio concept. Under the guidance of new CEO Mike Robinson Bertone celebrates their 100th anniversary and this creation probably looks 100 years ahead judging by its appearance. Bertone’s vision of a futuristic people carrier, at the same time a commemoration to the legendary Nuccio Bertone is not exactly what we thought it would be. Although it resembles the Lancia HF Zero in a certain way, the decal like shapes and different colours are not suited to everyone’s taste. Celebrating 100 years of groundbreaking design (at the moment still in Italian ownership) this Nuccio birthday present could have been a more balanced mix between design studies form the past melted in a futuristic product. On the contrary the Disco Volante in another part of the Swiss Expo expresses a different, more refined kind of fantasy. The Bertone Pandion from two years ago could have been a more suitable ‘icing on the cake’ in our humble opinion…
