According to Alfa Romeo’s engineer Mauro Pierallini, slightly later than the 4C, the 4C Spider will be introduced at the beginning of 2014. This was reported by the British AutoCar in an article with the technical director of Alfa Romeo. The Spider will also excel in performance (thanks to the newly developed 1750 TBi and TCT) and will have a very low total weight of just 900 kg. A time of 4.5 seconds for the 0 to 100 km/h sprint is possible. The model will probably be presented to the public in Frankfurt next year. Alfa Romeo will introduce the open version of the 4C during the same time it will also introduce the Giulia, which has a significant importance. The 4C Spider will probably have a higher price than the coupe version, prices will be around 45,000 till 50,000 euros.
