Alfa Romeo 4C spotted with Cloverleaf-badge

Nowadays, the Alfa Romeo 4C is being spotted nearly every day. However, these tests aren’t always solely meant for testing; they are often a way of showing something to the outside world. Here, we have such a case; an in-black-disguised Alfa Romeo 4C – spotted in Italy – fitted with a rather striking Cloverleaf (Quadrifoglio Verde)-badge. The meaning is not entirely clear, but this badge means a lot to true Alfisti.

Is this an extra powerful 4C which Alfa Romeo plans to take to the race track? There are rumors that Alfa Romeo might be returning to auto sports simultaneously with the introduction in the US. Almost exactly like the Milanese brand once started in the US a long time ago. We can only hope!

Racing this in the USA at the ALMS/Grand Am merged events would be great. They also have several wonderful sportscar series in Europe that would welcome the 4C. Lemans could also be the END GAME if they choose to take on Audi, but the WSC might be gone in a few years I would bet. Alfa should stick with production based sportscars and touring cars for now.

I wouldn’t read too much into that cloverleaf badge.
My guess is that somebody at the factory with a sense of “Alfa Pride” just stuck it on.
