50 less people fired in Fiat Auto Poland
50 jobs are saved out of the 1.500 people who would be fired in Poland. After a thorough discussion between the government and trade unions, the number of people who won’t be returning to Tychy in March is 1.450. All unions have agreed to this proposal, including Solidarinosc which had the most objections.
It has also been agreed that the fired employees will get a higher “golden handshake” than was originally planned. They will receive an amount of in between 9 and 18 paychecks. The Ministry of Employment will also guide the employees in a reintegration project. As earlier reported, these redundancies are a consequence of the European crisis and the termination of the production of the Panda Classic.
